Introduction: Peace one minute. Trouble the next. How can we have PEACE within, while trouble is surrounding us?

1. Some things we can not Control!

“45That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.” (Matt 5:45)

Prayer: Lord Jesus give me your PEACE to accept the things (We) cannot control.

2. Some people we can not Control!

“43Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. 44But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; 45That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. 46For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?” (Matt 5:43-46)

Prayer: Lord Jesus give us your wisdom to be able to put people into your hands.

3. Some things we can Control!

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. 34Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.” (Matt 6:33,34)

Prayer: Lord Jesus help us to know what is in our control.

4. Some choices we can Control!

“24Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: 25And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. 26And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: 27And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.” (Matt 7:24-27)

Prayer: Lord Jesus show us how to build our life upon Your Word.

5. Somehow realize God is in Control!

“Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven…….For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen” (Matt 6:9-13)

Prayer: Lord Jesus give us great faith to trust in You no matter what.
