Justice Will Prevail

Introduction: Does it seem like people today are getting away with cheating, lying, deceiving, and manipulating others? Where is JUSTICE? Will there be JUSTICE this side of heaven? Do you ever get angry because you are attempting to do RIGHT but things seem to go wrong – with a host of troubles and trials? And at the same time, we see those who mock God, the Bible, and are diametrically opposed to what God-fearing men and women believe, but they seem blessed.

A close and brief study of Scripture reveals answers to this questions.

1. The Psalmist writes about this JUSTICE!

“10O God, how long shall the adversary reproach? shall the enemy blaspheme thy name for ever?” (Psalm 74:10)

If we just look at the present without considering the future, we come away with a distorted view of both life, and the God we serve.

2. Paul writes about this JUSTICE!

“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. 8For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.” (Gal 6:7,8)

Anyone who knows anything about farming or planting understands that we do not always sow and reap the same day. Yet, the harvest will come, whether good or bad. It is an irrevocable principle.

3. Micah writes about this JUSTICE!

“He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?” (Micah 6:8)

During a terrible time of religious hypocrisy and spiritual apostasy, the prophet Micah holds up the biblical standard. Priests were offering sick and lame sacrifices. The people were robbing God of tithes and offerings. Marriages were ending because of a lack of commitment. We need to be reminded today while we live in the midst of such apostasy and hypocrisy to stay focused on our LOVE relationship with Jesus Christ. This includes walking in the Spirit, forgiving others, confessing our sins, and hungering and thirsting for righteousness. In addition, not returning evil for evil but rather, putting people and problems in the hands of the Lord!

4. John writes about this JUSTICE!

“9And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: 10And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?” (Rev 6:9, 10)

This will be a time during the tribulation when righteous believers will be martyred because of their faith in Jesus Christ…..but keep reading the book of REVELATION…..

“And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years……6Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.” (Rev. 20:4-6)

If we did not have the whole BOOK of REVELATION, then we would feel like maybe our God is UNJUST. But HE is not! We shall see!!

Conclusion: Only when we read the Word of God does life make SENSE! Then, we see the BIG PICTURE! God’s truth is marching on. The Lord has the final say so!! We can REST in that truth. But we can also REACH OUT to those who have not experienced forgiveness through Jesus Christ.
