Text: Revelation 7:9-14
Introduction: I had the privilege of preaching a revival a few weeks ago at a Church called Cornish Mountain Baptist Church in Oxford GA. The meeting was scheduled to go from Monday night to Friday night. On Tuesday night, our Lord led me to share a message on Bible Prophecy… “End Time”- the book of Revelation. At the end of the service when everybody had gone except the Pastor, Bro. Jerry and I, a 48-yr-old lady named Stacy, and her husband Scott, stayed back to talk. She asked me if a person does not receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior before the rapture, could they be saved after the rapture?….a common question. After giving her a biblical answer, the Lord led me to ask her if she knew someone that was not saved and wanted to know…she said, “YES….ME!” Needless to say, I was deeply burdened to pray for her conversion from that night on. Finally on Friday night, the last night of the revival, during the invitation, she hit the altar…broken, crying, repenting, and calling upon Jesus to forgive her of her sins and save her! Right then and there, she put her TRUST in Jesus that night and became a NEW CREATION in CHRIST! Hallelujah!!
A few weeks later she was baptized. Just the other day, I saw her and her husband, and she was GLOWING over her new relationship with Jesus. “To God be the Glory”! Have you done that? If so, why not PRAISE the Lord right now for His Saving GRACE, and Keeping GRACE (Eph 2:8-10).
In the book of Revelation, John writes about a crowd that will be saved after the rapture of the Church. (Many believe only those who have NEVER heard the GOSPEL will have a chance to be saved then). Look at the signs of their NEW BIRTH of Salvation:
1. Look at the TRANSFORMATION and JUBILATION of this crowd who had been saved! (Rev 7:9-10)
“9After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; 10And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb. “
Personal Application: When a person is “born again” there will be a change of clothing, and a change of song. How about you?
2. Look at the JUSTIFICATION of these who had been saved! (Rev 7:13, 14)
“And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they? 14And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.”
Personal Application: Notice the words “Washed clean” is πλύνω (ploo’-no), it is in the aorist tense. “Made white” speaks of pronouncing innocent. This is all made possible because of the blood of the lamb.
3. Look at the SANCTIFICATION of these who had been saved! (Rev 7:15)
“5Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.”
Personal Application: Not only does our great God justify every believer who puts his of her trust in the shed blood of Jesus Christ, but also restores each one back into fellowship with Him.
Conclusion: When asked the question, can a person be saved after the rapture? My response is why take a chance? Why not right now?
“Why WAIT, till it is too LATE”?
Love y’all,
Dr. Randy Reese
