Better Days Are Coming

Text: Romans 8:15-17

Introduction: My dog named Red, a miniature Doberman pincher, used to chew on a bone and then bury it in the ground. Why? Because she would dig it back up for another day! Our Lord tells us, “BETTER DAYS” are coming! In fact, Paul gives us three (3) reasons today is a good day….and tomorrow will be a good day as well.

1. We have a GUARANTEED RELATIONSHIP with our HEAVENLY FATHER! (Rom 8:15)

“For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.”

We have a NEW FREEDOM!

We have a NEW FAMILY!

We have a NEW FAITH!

We have a NEW FATHER!

2. We have a SWEET FELLOWSHIP with the HOLY GHOST Of GOD! (Rom 8:16)

“The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:”

The Holy Ghost comes IN and the devil goes OUT!

The Spirit of God comes IN to stay!

3. We have a GLORIOUS CITIZENSHIP with JESUS CHRIST our Savior and Lord! (Rom 8:17-25)

“And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.”

“For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.”

We have a BRAND NEW outside!

We have a BRAND NEW inside!

Conclusion: Now having a Guaranteed Relationship with our Heavenly Father, a SWEET Fellowship with the Holy Spirit, and a glorious Citizenship with Jesus, would you not agree….

Today is a Good Day!
