Introduction: Is the Bible just an ordinary book written by men? Or is it a supernatural book inspired by God the Holy Spirit? The latter is true. How can you know? Why should we believe? What makes it different? Can you defend your faith? 

1. First, the Scriptures claim to be inspired of God!

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” (2Tim 3:16,17)

“20Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. 21For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.” (2Pet 1:20-21)

2. Second, the Bible has stood the test of time!

“89For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.” (Psa 119:89)

3. Third, the message of the Bible has life changing power because the Author is Alive!

“12For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” (Heb 4:12)

4. What other options does man have in this life?

“25There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” (Prov 16:25)

5. Do mere men have enough wisdom to look into the future and predict coming events with 100% accuracy?

“23But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things.” (Mark 13:23)

6. Does God give believers guidance in the Scripture?

“130The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.” (Psalm 119:130)

7. Does Science contradict the Bible?

“Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called.” (2 Tim 6:20)

The answer is No. Study the 1st and 2nd laws of thermodynamics and one can see that things are not increasing in order like the evolutionists claim, rather they are decreasing in order like the biblical model declares.

“1In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.” (Gen 1:1)

8. Can you intelligently explain why you believe in the Creationists model rather than Evolution?

“0For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: 21Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.” (Rom 1:20, 21f)

9. Why do people reject the Bible?

Because it exposes and condemns their sinful lifestyle.
